Prayer Against Bitterness

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Hebrews 12:15

Father, thank you for opening the eye of my heart to see the bitterness that is trying to keep me out of your way. I repent Lord from all that made me slip from your way. I repent and I release everyone that I was holding in my heart because of what they have done to me in the past, in this present and all that they are planning to do to hurt me in the future. I repent from every sin knowingly and unknowingly.

I give them all to you, Lord Jesus. And I pray Lord, that the prayer that You had prayed at the cross that day be my prayer forever. When you said “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” in Luke 23:34.

Help me Lord to remember that I am forgiven so I can forgive those who hurt me.

Father, I don’t want to live with any bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander or with any form of malice. Help me Lord to get rid of all of that. For with you Lord, all things are possible.

I trust and believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Father, I give myself to you. Take my heart and make it shine. Mold me and transform my heart. Take the stone heart out of me and give me the heart of flesh. Give me your loving kindness and compassionate heart to love my enemies, see them through Your eyes and pray for them.

Father, help me be sober, be vigilant. Because my adversary the devil, as roaring lion walking about, seeking whom he may devour. He is setting traps for me by putting bitterness in my heart. I refuse to be used by the devil. I will never give the devil a seat at my table. I rebuke the bitterness and its root that is in my heart in Jesus name!! And I claim freedom over my situation.

I repent for everything that is hindering me from Your love, Lord.

Search me and know my heart, test me, and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Ps 139: 23-24

Lord Jesus, as I repent and give you all that troubled me. All my burdens, I laid them at your feet. Give me your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard my heart and mind in You. Fill me up with your Holy Spirit to dwell in me and take control.

I pray Holy Spirit, you allow me to live a life that pleases you.

Forgive those who hurt me. I pray for those who hurt me. May God give them the hearts that fear Him so they can care for others.

I pray for those who curse me.

God, take what the enemy planned for evil, and turn it to good to bring many to come to know you.

I bless them who curse me to see Your light and come out from the grave they are in. I pray that the love you have for me stays in me. Holy Spirit strengthen me to love my enemies and do good to those who hate me. I pray for those who mistreated me to come to know you Lord and change for the best!

Father, I pray for your restorations and restitutions for my life and my family’s life and everyone who is trapped by the evil one. I pray freedom for every soul that the enemy captured. The enemy came to steal, kill and destroy but I declare restoration to everything that was stolen, killed and destroyed from us to come back to life in Jesus name!

Thank you, Father. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the devil flees from me.

Thank you, God, for the freedom and the restoration of my soul! Thank you for everyone who is set free through this prayer.

In Jesus mighty name I pray!

Amen.
