The Holy Spirit: Spirit of the Lord

There are many scriptures that reference the Spirit of the Lord:

Genesis 1:2

Romans 8:9-11

1 Corinthians 2:10-12

Psalm 104:30

John 6:63

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

From reading these scriptures, the Spirit of the Lord brings forth life, freedom, transformation, and He provides adoption into His Kingdom! Hallelujah!

In Romans 8:9-11 Paul explains that when we have given our lives to Christ we no longer live according to the flesh but to the spirit of God and if you say you are in Christ but do not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit then you are not His.

This walk with Jesus is a continuous relationship with Him. A continuous flow of the spirit pouring into your life day by day to look more like Him each day. If this is not your reality, go to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to be in your life so you can experience His newness of life and transformation. If you want to have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you then here is a prayer:

Jesus, I want to know you and I want you in my life. I believe that you died on the cross and on the third day rose from the grave. Jesus, I make you Lord over my life and Savior. I am sorry for participating in sin in my life knowingly and unknowingly, forgive me. I surrender my life over to you Lord and I receive you into my heart in. Come into my heart Holy Spirit and make me new in Jesus name.

As you read through this prayer, sit with the Lord for a while in prayer or silence and let Him reveal to you the things you need to repent and ask forgiveness about (you may even need to forgive yourself about things). Once you have repented and asked the Lord for forgiveness, thank Him in advance for forgiving you and wiping you clean and believe by faith that He has done so.
