John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
The word "know" in Greek is "Ginosko".
This means: to learn to know, come to know, get a knowledge of perceive, feel; to become known. To know, understand, perceive, have knowledge of; to understand; to know is also a
Jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman
to become acquainted with, to know.
Or in my terms, to have an intimate and interwoven knowledge of God in your relationship with Him.
God doesn't merely want us to give Him a wish list of things we want.
He doesn't want us to say hey to Him on holidays and when things are bad.
He wants us completely.
He wants to know our deepest concerns, joys, desires, everything.
Yes, He already knows them but He finds joy in us reciting them back to Him because He enjoys our company and conversation with Him.
I challenge you today to get acquainted with God.
Go out on a date with Him, take a nice stroll in the park with Him, get quiet before Him for 10, 20, 30, 40 mins and just talk to Him!
Get to know Him and watch Him blow your mind.
