There's something about this story that mirrors my walk with Christ. I’ve asked my Father to give me all things that appeal to my eyes and my plans. Instead, He blessed me with what He knew I needed, and because the scales shielded my sight, I resentfully walked away to fulfill my own desires. I strayed from His words and His path because I was attracted to things in the world. When it all dried up, when there was nowhere else to turn, I went back to Him and laid everything at His feet. He didn’t resent nor condemn me for leaving. He opened His arms, called me by name and threw a feast for my return. This is also your story.
