Psalm 91:1
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." (NIV)
To be in someone's shadow is to hide behind them; to have them stand in front of you while you stand behind them. If you think about it, you can do this with your family members, your parents, siblings, friends, anybody you trust. Anyone who you believe will shield or shelter you from harm. But at times, they also cannot bear the weight of shielding you because they are simply human. There's only so much we can endure but in our weakness, He is made strong.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1). Our Father does not ask us to just stand back in His shadow when we run to Him. He wants us to rest.
Rest during the chaos.
Rest during the storm.
Rest when things are hard.
Rest, so He alone can take care of the rest.
Wherever you are, whatever your chaos may be, I pray that you remember, even if it's just for a second. I pray you remember that God wants to take care of this chaos for you. He want you to rest while He takes care of it because only He can and this too will pass.
